We’ve got a great new trend towards ‘girls with
sass’, but girls with sass don’t become Alpha Females until they
embrace the Alpha Female values! 'Girls
with sass', also known as 'the new lass' must develop their core of
values and standards. Examples of Alpha Female
‘girls with sass’ include:
But there are far too many ‘girls with sass’ who don't have the Alpha
Female core characteristics, such as the
Spice Girls
who popularized the phrase
'girl power', Britney Spears
and the newly reinvented
Christina Aguilera.
The problem with these core-less
‘girls with sass’ is that they are empty role
models who actually take away from the ‘girls with sass’ movement. Often
a core-less girl is a media man's image of the perfect feminist.
She's
pretty, she's exuberant, she's sassy and speaks up for herself...she's
willing to create and flaunt a 'perfect' body, she talks about 'girl
power', but she doesn't say anything important,
meaningful....worth role-modeling. She doesn't take herself
seriously--so why should anybody else? She has few interests apart from
celeb-spotting and fashion. She's even got an 'appropriately cute'
personality.
